AEW Star Darius Martin Is Reportedly Injured Again

AEW Star Darius Martin is recognized as one of the best high-flyers and one of the most agile talents in not only AEW, but in all of pro wrestling, alongside his brother and fellow AEW Star Dante Martin, unfortunately Darius Martin has spent majority of his AEW career on the shelf as he sustained a major knee injury in February of 2021, which kept him out of in-ring action until he made his return during the Casino Tag Team Royale on the March 2nd, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Fightful Select reports that Darius Martin suffered a leg injury and is back on the shelf once again. There’s no word yet how long Darius Martin will be out of in-ring action, but it was noted that he is expected to miss another lengthy period of time once again after he recently returned from a torn ACL that left him out of in-ring action for over a year.

Darius Martin has only had a total of 11 matches in the past two years, including the 7 matchups with his brother Dante Martin in AEW. He last competed for AEW on the April 15th episode of AEW Dark, when he teamed with Frankie Kazarian, Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy of The Hardys and his brother Dante Martin to defeat Angelico, Max Caster, Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) and The Blade. Top Flight was scheduled to face Brian Cage and KC Navarro at today’s Warrior Wrestling XXI Event, but Darius is being replaced due to him suffering an injury.

Martin recently took to Twitter and commented on the injury he recently suffered once again. He noted that his current injury has nothing to do with professional wrestling, but he did not specify how the injury happened. There have been rumors and speculations that Martin suffered the leg injury during a recent episode of AEW Dark, when he teamed up with Frankie Kazarian, The Hardys and his brother Dante Martin to take on Private Party, Angélico, Max Caster and The Blade in 10-Man Tag Team action, but he said that is not how he got injured.
