AEW Star Darius Martin Recently Underwent ACL Surgery

It was previously reported that one of the fastest rising tag teams in AEW, Top Flight, which consist of Darius Martin and Dante Martin, did not participate in the Casino Battle Royale that took place at Revolution.

Dave Meltzer said on a previous edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that one-half of Top Flight Darius Martin is currently out of action due to suffering a twisted knee, which is why the team did not compete in the match.

Darius Martin took to his Twitter and announced that he recently had ACL surgery. Darius also said he is having this surgery for the first time in his life and the anesthesia has been hitting his body in a really discomforting way all day, but his road to recovery begins, and despite it being a long time before he returns, expect him to be performing at a level the fans has never seen before when he does come back.

Darius Martin has been out of in-ring action since before the Revolution PPV on March 7th. Top Flight made their AEW debut on an episode of Dark in October of 2020. Top Flight would then made their debut on Dynamite on the November 18th, 2020 episode, when they lost to The Young Bucks. AEW announced that they had officially signed Darius and Dante Martin on November 23rd, 2020.
