AEW Star Jon Moxley Set To Appear At NJPW’s Windy City Riot

Former WWE Star and current AEW Star Jon Moxley, who signed with All Elite Wrestling back in 2019 and made his promotional debut for the company at that year’s inaugural event known as Double or Nothing, recently revealed that he will be making his NJPW return at their Windy City Riot Event and wants the promotion to bring their best because as long as he’s in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) nobody in the company can call themselves the best.

Prior to making his highly-anticipated AEW return on the promotion’s episode of Dynamite last January 19 from the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., Jon Moxley last competed for AEW on the October 27 episode of Dynamite, where he defeated Dark Order’s 10 in the first round of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament. Shortly after that episode of Dynamite, Jon voluntarily took time away from wrestling and admitted himself into a rehabilitation center for treatment on alcohol abuse.

Jon Moxley last competed for NJPW at the company’s Strong tapings in Philadelphia last October. Stars such as Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb, Yuji Nagata, Tomohiro Ishii, Jay White, JONAH, Juice Robinson, David Finlay, Tom Lawlor, Fred Rosser and Brody King have also been announced for NJPW’s upcoming event.

NJPW’s Windy City Riot Event is set to take place on Saturday, April 16th at the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park, Illinois.
