AEW Star Reportedly Suffers A Knee Injury On Dynamite

One of All Elite Wrestling’s fastest rising and brightest stars in Dante Martin, who is recognized as one of the greatest high-flyers not only in AEW, but in all of pro wrestling as well, suffered a knee injury during last Wednesday night’s Fight For The Fallen episode of AEW Dynamite when he faced Sammy Guevara in Singles action and came out of the matchup on the losing end. PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson reported that Dante Martin was favoring his knee during the match and after the match, he stayed down on the mat as he and Skye Blue were being attacked by Sammy Guevara, Anna Jay and Tay Conti and until Ortiz, Ruby Soho and Eddie Kingston made their way down to make the save.

It has been speculated among fans that Martin possibly suffered the injury when he took a springboard cutter from Guevara and after the spot, it seemed that Martin’s knee buckled, which Excalibur pointed out on commentary. During the commercial break, Dante Martin had to be helped out of the ring and was immediately looked at by a ringside official on the apron. Dante Martin was moving around on crutches backstage at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts this past Wednesday night after the match and was also seen using the crutches after the show at the hotel, where the talents were staying.

There’s no word yet on the severity of Dante Martin’s injury or if he will be missing any action, but updates will be provided once it has been made available. Dante Martin was accompanied to the ring by his real-life girlfriend Skye Blue and it seemed like AEW teased a future mixed tag team bout between Dante Martin and Skye Blue vs. Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti.
