AEW Star Rey Fenix Reportedly Dealing With A Groin Injury

Dave Meltzer mentioned on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter a number of weeks ago that the reason Rey Fénix has been absent from AEW TV as of late is due to him currently suffering from an unknown injury which was also the reason why he didn’t work the AEW Double or Nothing PPV Event. The belief was that Rey Fénix suffered the injury in a recent match he had in Mexico, but that has not been confirmed yet and there is no word yet on what exact match Rey Fénix suffered the injuries in.

Cassidy Haynes of BodySlam.Net reports that Rey Fénix is currently dealing with a groin injury and he could be out of action for at least one more month as it was initially stated that he would be out of in-ring action for 6 to 8 weeks.

Fénix last wrestled for AEW on the April 26th episode of Dark: Elevation when he beat Chuck Taylor in Singles action. More updates will be provided on Rey Fénix as it becomes available.
