AEW Star Serena Deeb Confirms She Is Dealing With A Knee Injury

For the past several months, AEW Star Serena Deeb has been dealing with one knee injury after another and she has been in and out of in-ring action since last March due to a procedure done to her injured left knee. Serena would make her return sometime in May and successfully defend her NWA Women’s World Title in a high-profile match against Riho at AEW’s Double Or Nothing Event. Deeb would then lose her title to NWA Star Kamille at NWA’s When Our Shadows Fall Event this past June.

Speaking of Serena Deeb, she recently took to her Instagram, where she posted a video, revealing that she is dealing with a knee injury once again. The video shows Deeb sitting in a wheelchair and noting that she is badly hurt right now and her knee has been giving her problems for a while now and it has even been bothering her in her matches, but she has tried to fight through the pain. Serena also said that despite her pain, she will be coming back to AEW and she will become a champion once again.

This is what Serena Deeb said:

“Truth is, right now, I’m hurt. I’m injured. My knee has been playing up for a while, it’s been bothering me in my matches.” “I tried to fight through the pain. Was it the smartest thing to do? Probably not, but that’s what I do. I’m Serena Deeb, I’m from the old school. What I was taught is that if you can walk to the ring, you can step in the ring and do your job.”

“Right now, yes, I’m injured. I’m hurt. But I will be back to AEW. I will come back to once again become champion.”

There is no word yet on if Serena Deeb will still compete for the NWA, but it seems that her focus is on AEW at the moment based on what she said on the video.
