A huge match announcement was recently made that AEW Star Joey Janela will be facing NJPW Star Minoru Suzuki in a Singles Match at GCW’s upcoming Aftermath PPV Event on Sunday, October 10 from inside The Showboat in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Janela last competed for AEW on the Friday, May 28 episode of Dynamite, when he lost to Hangman Page. Prior to that, Joey Janela defeated Daniel Garcia on the May 17 episode of Dark: Elevation and he won a Singles Match against Bear Bronson on the May 25th episode of Dark. Janela’s next AEW match will be on next week’s episode of Dark: Elevation, when he takes on Sonny Kiss in Singles action.
Minoru Suzuki, on the other hand, made an appearance on last Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, when he and Lance Archer, who are members of Suzuki-gun, discussed “The Suzuki Incident” that took place last week on Dynamite in a backstage segment, then made their way out after the main event to confront Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston and a brawl would ensue between the four wrestlers. Shortly after the brawl took place, it was made official that Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer will battle Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston in Tag Team action on next week’s AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York.
