Andrade Responds To Kenny Omega’s Comments About Him

On the June 4th episode of AEW Dynamite, Andrade El Idolo made his debut with the company when Vickie Guerrero introduced him as her new client. Andrade would then cut a promo and make it perfectly clear to the entire AEW locker room that he wants to become the new face of the company. Dynamite last week then saw Andrade appear in an interview segment with AEW commentator Jim Ross, where he said he chose AEW because the promotion needed a Superstar. Andrade also said that he’s interested in the TNT Title and the AEW World Title, but he feels like he deserves the AEW World Title.

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega would then take to his Twitter and respond to what Andrade said. Kenny Omega made it clear to everyone, including Andrade that he checked the win/loss record and Andrade is nowhere close in becoming next in line for Omega’s AEW World Title because in AEW the win/loss record counts.

Andrade didn’t take Omega’s comments kindly and lying down as he took to Twitter and responded to the AEW World Champion’s comments about him. Andrade seemingly took a shot at Omega and the WWE by saying he got tired of being in a company that only talks like Omega, so he decided to resign to demonstrate his success in the ring.

This is what Andrade said:

“#Tranquilo amigo. I got tired of being in a company that only talks like you, I decided to resign to demonstrate my success in the ring, mr win…. [tears of joy emoji] [fist emoji x 3] enjoy your time.”

This Saturday on Dynamite, Kenny Omega is set to defend his AEW World Title against Jungle Boy. Kenny Omega will then defend his AAA Mega Championship against Andrade at the AAA TripleMania XXIX Event on Saturday, August 14th in Mexico City.
