Backstage News On AEW And The Hardy Boys’ Iconic Theme Song

It was previously reported that former WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy, one-half of the legendary Hardy Boyz tag team, has officially become a free agent as of Wednesday, March 9 and that he’s free to sign with any promotion he is interested in. It’s even believed that Jeff Hardy will make his AEW debut as soon as this week’s episode of Dynamite.

According to Fightful Select, AEW is trying to license The Hardy Boyz’s iconic theme song “Loaded” by Zack Tempest, so that it could be used by Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy as their theme song on AEW TV. It was also mentioned on the report that despite the theme song being used by The Hardys in WWE for more than two decades, the “Loaded” theme song is not actually owned by the WWE.

Even before The Hardys used the “Loaded” theme song on WWE programming, the song was actually used on various television shows and the WWE had to secure the rights to use it on their shows, but since WWE doesn’t actually own the rights to the “Loaded” theme, anyone can secure those same licensing rights, including AEW and since “Loaded” is a song The Hardys are synonymous with, it will be huge for AEW to actually secure the rights and use it on their shows.
