Billy Gunn Reveals He Currently Has Two Contracts With AEW

Professional wrestling veteran and current All Elite Wrestling Star Billy Gunn recently appeared at a “K & S WrestleFest” virtual signing and revealed that he is currently under two contracts with AEW as they can’t put his two duties and responsibilities with the company into one contract. The former WWE Superstar works in a backstage type of role as a coach, producer and mentor, while also working as an on-screen talent.

This is what Billy Gunn said:

“Yeah, they have to do two contracts because they can’t loop them all together.” “You can’t loop the employee and talent because it’s, you know, a self-employed kind of deal. So, in reality, yeah, you’d like to just have one contract that says you do different things, but for some reason, you can’t do it that way for business bookkeeping or whatever.”

Billy Gunn signed with All Elite Wrestling back in January 2019, when the company was established. He then made his AEW in-ring debut at the promotion’s first-ever PPV Event Double Or Nothing back in May 2019, when he competed in the inaugural Casino Battle Royale. Billy Gunn last competed for AEW at the Forbidden Door PPV Event, when he, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn and Max Caster faced Alex Coughlin, Kevin Knight, The DKC and Yuya Uemura of NJPW’s LA Dojo and defeated them.
