WWE released Andrade El Idolo from his contract last March 21st and three months later, he would make his promotional debut for AEW on June 4th. Andrade would then make his AEW in-ring debut against Matt Sydal on the July 7th episode of Dynamite and pick up a huge win. Since then, he has only had 3 other matches, which is his win over PAC on an episode of AEW Rampage in September, the Casino Ladder Match on the October 6th Second Anniversary episode of Dynamite and his loss to PAC in a rematch on Rampage this past Friday night.
Immediately after his match against PAC on Rampage this past Friday night, which was described as one of the best matches in Rampage history as well as one of the best matches in company history, Andrade El Idolo took to his Twitter and wrote, “Fu… WWE !!!!!”
There have been a lot of rumors and speculations on what the tweet of Andrade El Idolo could mean and the official Twitter account of WrestleVotes even posted an interesting response to what the tweet of Andrade could mean. Some have noted that the tweet was Andrade’s response to him being allowed by AEW to have such an amazing match on TV, while others are speculating that this could be the beginning of his formation of a stable with Malakai Black, who was also released from WWE earlier this year.
It was also speculated that Andrade El Idolo’s post was somehow related to his fiancée, WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair and that she could be heading to AEW soon, but no mention was made of Charlotte Flair in the tweet and there is absolutely nothing in the tweet that even connects to the WWE Star.
Andrade El Idolo revealed on an interview that he signed a three-year deal with AEW earlier this year and it was even mentioned by Dave Meltzer that Andrade said several months back that he would like to bring his family and close friends to AEW, which includes WWE Star Charlotte Flair. There have been a number of rumors that Charlotte Flair could join her fiancé in AEW once her WWE contract expires, but that is still a long way from happening as Charlotte reportedly still has a few years left on her WWE contract. There was even talk of pairing Andrade and Charlotte on WWE TV, but that never happened.
