Claudio Castagnoli, f.k.a. Cesaro, has a championship gold up his sleeve in the AEW. As the ROH World Champion, Claudio has proven that he has the skills to be a main eventer. He needs that push, and he can deliver at all times against any competitor from any promotion.
While Claudio isn’t too aware of the Indie circuit, he spoke his mind during the “AEW Unrestricted” podcast. He spoke about how every individual in the Blackpool Combat Club has its approach, and it plays a vital role in making the group a dominant force. The idea sharing, communication, and interactions filled with new approaches make the group one of the most amazing factions in AEW.
Claudio’s swing has been the talk of the wrestling world. When asked if he feels dizzy doing it or if it has an impact on him, Claudio said that he understands that carrying someone’s weight for a 30-times swing can be different and difficult at once. He said that there are days after his swing when he feels like his back is sore or his legs feel different like he has done deadlifts.
The Bar was one of the successful groups in the WWE. WWE wanted to put them together, but through communication and working as good friends, Sheamus and Cesaro pulled it off well. Cesaro said that as they come from Europe, so they connected on some parameters. The communication was cordial, and there were times when they would start arguing backstage even before filming to get in the mode. Cesaro loved his work during those three years with Sheamus.
Cesaro thinks that Blackpool Combat Club is not just for men, as women are welcome too. He would like to add Serena Deeb as a member of the Club. It’s great to know that he has eyes on the right talent. As far as working with the indie wrestlers goes, Cesaro thinks that AEW Dark has some exceptional Indie talent that people should watch weekly.
