Former WWE Champion CM Punk, who is rumored to make his highly-anticipated and most-awaited AEW debut this coming Friday on the First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage in Chicago, worked on commentary during the recent CFFC MMA Event. While he was performing his commentary duties, CM Punk name dropped the “all elite” term after he was set up by his commentary partner, John Morgan.
It stated when John said, “Like in the first round, Hoffman is just returning to his wrestling.” “You know what I’m saying, Punk? Returning to his wrestling,” to which Punk responded, “Yeah, he’s looking all elite, right now.”
Moments later, Morgan said, “Inside jokes being thrown all over the place!,” to which Punk responded,
“Ya gotta watch out for those inside jokes.”
There have been several teases that Punk may be making his AEW debut this Friday during the company’s First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage from the United Center in Chicago. Darby Allin cut a promo on an episode of Dynamite, where he said he wanted to face the “Best in the World.” AEW President and CEO Tony Khan also noted that the fans should “know what to expect on the second episode of Rampage,” which could somewhat be a reference that Punk is on the way to AEW.
