Cody Says You Won’t See Blood On AEW’s Weekly TNT Show

At the recent 2019 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes was asked about the company’s last few PPV Events all having blood in them.

This is what Cody Rhodes said: “I think the violence that just goes hand in hand with professional wrestling is– that’s there it’s on the surface, you know what you’re getting.” “However, these blood feuds and some of the more graphic content that’s perhaps you’re talking about — you know, I’m sitting up here with a black eye and my brother, beating him up in this wonderful trailer — that content is more in line with B/R Live and our streaming services and the pay-per-views.”

Cody Rhodes was then asked if this trend will continue and if their weekly TNT Show will also have blood in them.

This is what Cody Rhodes said: “Traditionally in pro-wrestling, you would build to those big blood feuds or rivalries or hyper-violent type matches.” “You won’t see that necessarily on a weekly broadcast on TNT.”

As previously reported, AEW’s weekly TNT Show will be premiering on Wednesday, October 2nd from 8-10PM ET.
