Daniel Garcia Turned Down Work With AEW Before Signing With Them

Daniel Garcia, who officially signed with AEW in October 2021 and who is one of the company’s fastest rising and brightest stars, recently made an appearance on the “Talk Is Jericho” Podcast and revealed that he really enjoyed the first time he worked in AEW, but he didn’t feel it the second time around, which is why he turned them down before eventually signing with the company.

This is what Daniel Garcia said:

“I just did [work with AEW] in May and the experience for me, personally, it didn’t feel great. I really enjoyed the extra work the first time I did it in AEW, but the second round, it was kind of like, whatever … [AEW] reached out again for me to do it for the Double of Nothing Pay-Per-View and I was just kind of over it. I said no, I turned it down.”

Garcia has since aligned himself with 2point0 before the trio joined The Jericho Appreciation Society and at the Double Or Nothing PPV, The Jericho Appreciation Society faced Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz in an Anarchy In The Arena Match and walked out of the match with a huge win.
