Ahead of the highly anticipated return of former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara to AEW TV, some light has been shed on his current status. Guevara has been noticeably absent from television since enduring a concussion during the AEW WrestleDream on October 1, leaving fans awaiting his comeback with bated breath. The wrestling world has been buzzing, and now, we have an update.
Fellow former AEW star, Fuego Del Sol, revealed in a discussion with MuscleManMalcolm that although Guevara is getting better and his return is imminent, he is keen to make his comeback a high-profile one. Del Sol, who describes Guevara as one of his best friends, said, “He is feeling a lot better and his return is imminent. I definitely thought he was gonna be on Dynamite recently in the 8-Man Street Fight.”
Despite fan speculations of seeing Guevara in the street fight that transpired on the November 15 edition of Dynamite, he was still not ready to return and was substituted by Brian Cage.
Another exciting development in Guevara’s life is that he and his wife, Tay Melo, also an AEW talent, are expecting their first child very soon. Amid the thrills of imminent fatherhood and mounting anticipation of his AEW return, Guevara is definitely in for an exhilarating ride.
Though the date for Guevara’s return is still under wraps, one thing is certain – it’ll be a comeback to remember. Be sure to stay tuned for updates as the former TNT Champion sets to make waves in AEW again.
