Inactive AEW Star Still Waiting On Plans To Return

Thunder Rosa, who won the AEW Women’s World Championship after defeating Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. in a Steel Cage Match during the St. Patrick’s Day Slam episode of AEW Dynamite last year, has been put on the shelf for quite some time now due to a devastating and career-ending back injury and it was noted at the time that she will not be medically cleared to defend the title at that year’s AEW All Out PPV Event.

Since then, the former AEW Women’s World Champion has been doing Spanish commentary for the promotion and she has reportedly been medically cleared to return to in-ring action, but she is waiting to hear from the company about what they have planned for her in-ring return. Rosa recently spoke with News 4 in San Antonio and was asked about her in-ring status.

This is what Thunder Rosa said:

“It’s very tough.” “It’s mentally, physically and spiritually tough. But it’s been a beautiful journey from the lows to the highest. I am ready. I am whenever that call…my boss says, ‘It’s time for you to return.’ Like, I am super excited and I cannot wait to show to the world and all you fans who have been supporting me all this time that I am ready. And I have a lot more to give.”
