Issues Kenny Omega Has Been Dealing With In AEW As Of Late

The main event of last Saturday night’s AEW Full Gear PPV saw Kenny Omega lose the AEW World Title to Hangman Page. Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that top AEW Star Kenny Omega has been dealing with a number of injuries for the past several months, which is why Omega will be getting medically checked out on Dynamite later on tonight. Meltzer also noted that while no specific injury was revealed aside from Kenny Omega having a bad neck that provides him with limited movement, he was medically cleared to compete against Hangman at Full Gear.

It was also noted by Dave Meltzer that Omega wanted to push through with the match against Hangman at Full Gear because he was the AEW World Champion and he also wanted to end his ultra-physical and much talked about storyline with Page.

Omega has reportedly been suffering from vertigo since 2018, which he spoke about in a video that was posted by YouTube chiropractor Beau Hightower. Omega also said that while he is competing in the ring things start to spin, which he has had to deal with due to the vertigo. There is no word yet on if he will need to take some time off, but updates will be provided soon after Omega gets checked at, which will be some time between later today and the end of the week, at the latest.
