Jeff Hardy Officially A Free Agent And Can Sign With AEW

WWE may have made the biggest mistake of their life, when they released pro wrestling legend and one-half of The Hardy Boyz in Jeff Hardy last December 9th, 2021 due to an unusual incident that occurred at a WWE Live Event, where he competed in a 6-Man Tag Team Match, but abruptly left the match and ran through the crowd. Prior to Jeff Hardy’s WWE release, he was reportedly offered to go to rehab by the company, but he refused to go, which led to Jeff Hardy being pulled from upcoming WWE live events and his eventual release.

There were reports that noted WWE wanted to bring Jeff Hardy back and an offer was even made for Jeff to be inducted into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class after his drug test results came back negative and it was confirmed that Jeff wasn’t intoxicated or under the influence of drugs during the incident that occurred at the WWE live event, but The Charismatic Enigma reportedly turned them down. AEW Star and Jeff Hardy’s brother, Matt Hardy, later stated that he didn’t feel like Jeff needed rehab at that point and that The Charismatic Enigma was in a good place in his life.

A report from Fightful Select then mentioned that Jeff Hardy is surely going to be All Elite soon and his first appearance on AEW TV may come as soon as this week’s episode of Dynamite. It was also noted that Jeff is scheduled to be at the venue of this week’s show, but there is no word yet on if he will actually appear on the show, though Jeff Hardy is officially a free agent as of Wednesday, March 9th.

A.H.F.O.’s Matt Hardy said on social media that he plans on changing his attitude and he is sorry for taking advantage of the younger talents in All Elite Wrestling and with AEW Dynamite this week set to feature an emergency board meeting Of The A.H.F.O., we could see Matt Hardy’s change in character and Jeff Hardy’s AEW debut. Matt Hardy could also address the A.H.F.O.’s loss to Sammy Guevara, Sting and Darby Allin at Revolution in a Tornado Trios Match, in which he was pinned by Darby Allin.

Jeff Hardy revealed in an interview that he and his brother have indie dates lined up, starting March 12th at a Big Time Wrestling Event in Webster, Massachusetts and it looks like the legendary tag team will be teaming up on AEW TV as well.
