Jericho And Hardy Segment On Dynamite Had To Be Re-Shot

Last Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite saw the show conclude with a face-to-face one-on-one in-ring confrontation between Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy that ultimately ended in a brawl that also involved Sammy Guevara, Cody and Kenny Omega.

It was reported on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the angle between Jericho and Hardy was taped on Tuesday and that Jericho “hated it.” It was also reported that AEW couldn’t redo the segment live and wanted to tape it on Wednesday—before the show—but because the venue is outdoors it would have been obviously daytime at certain parts of the segment and night time in the other parts.

It was then discussed that AEW ended up taping everything on Wednesday live except for the Kip Sabian vs. Darby Allin Match. During the match, AEW filmed the segment between Jericho and Hardy, rushed it through the editing process, and had about 15 minutes to spare before airing it on TV. Meltzer then noted that they liked how the second angle was shot compared to the first. Jericho took to his Facebook and confirmed that the segment needed to be re-shot.
