The wrestling world is reeling from Daniel Bryan’s and CM Punk’s possible signing with AEW. For more news on those topics, be sure to check out the recent articles by my colleague, Sanjay Thakur. Definitely is an amazing time to be a wrestling fan, as I’ve said; a lot going on for sure.
Jericho and Danhausen Collide
So, yes Chris Jericho and ROH sensation, Danhausen have collided, but not in the ring—not yet at least. They sat down to discuss a plethora of matters of import to the tooth collector himself and Jericho wasn’t at all shy to pry further into the dark depths of Danhausen’s psyche.
The interview is an incredible glimpse into the mind of a very different type of wrestler. These days, with reality being the in-thing, so to speak, the fact that Danhausen stayed in character and didn’t break kayfabe is very refreshing to watch. To see if he keeps this up for his whole career will be interesting to see, but for right now, his stuff is gold.
He did break kayfabe on Team Coco Podcasts with Conan O’Brien and in an interview with Chris Van Vliet, but chose to stay in character with Jericho, which was interesting.
In the interview he actually talks about being close friends with AEW stars, Orange Cassidy and Ethan Page. He also explains that jar of teeth he carries with him to the ring, along with so much more.

Gage Promises death before failure
Perhaps the comments are better left to the man himself, as we don’t really want to repeat them here. I warn only that the message which Gage recorded and posted is full of expletives…so viewer discretion is most certainly advised. This video was apparently sent to a fan according to EWrestling News. These statements were of course made in regards to the match scheduled for next week…Jericho’s second labor, in which he will be pitted against the demented criminal.
Booker T on Daniel Bryan’s possible AEW run
According to an article and transcription of the podcast statements in WrestlingInc and based on comments he made on The Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker T weighed in on the possible acquisition of Bryan by AEW:
“I’m not surprised at all, man as far as guys making the switch and going over. It’s war man, it really is and these guys have every right to actually do it the way they want to do it and if they’re not happy over here…Daniel Bryan has had a great career in WWE, he was making money on the independent circuit, this guy was putting in the work. I’m not going to hate and the thing is WWE shouldn’t hate either. Basketball players go to different teams every year. We saw LeBron James leave Cleveland and say I’m going to South Beach. I understand, I get it, if I was one of those guys I might be thinking the same exact thing…It’s not like it used to be back in the day where guys wanted to have a 20 year career in WWE…It was different back then, it’s a totally different time now with these young guys and the way they see this business. It’s their world and I can’t sit here and hate what Daniel Bryan is doing…he’s going to be able to pretty much write his own ticket, go out and have the matches that he wants to have. Go ahead and create the stories that he wants to create. I always wanted to be able to create and do my own thing as well; I knew I wasn’t going to be able to do that in WWE, that’s why I got Reality of Wrestling. I said I’ll create my own stories; I’ll create my own angles. That’s what guys want to do, they want to be able to do their own thing and AEW has given a lot of these guys a chance to do their own thing…”

The statements are extremely supportive in scope, but the message is delivered loud and clear…that even WWE faithful see the value of signing with AEW. Rest assured that we’ll see many more moves like this one in the months and years to come.
An exciting time to be a wrestling fan indeed.
