Jon Moxley Becomes The New AEW World Champion At Revolution

Jon Moxley defeated the former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho during this past Saturday night’s AEW Revolution PPV Event to become the new AEW World Champion. Majority of the big AEW World Title Match saw Moxley still wear the eye patch, but removed it as the match was coming to a close and revealed that he could see just fine from both eyes. Moxley secured the pinfall victory by hitting Chris Jericho with two paradigm shifts.

Jon Moxley is only the second-ever AEW World Champion. Chris Jericho, who is the inaugural AEW World Champion, won the title at AEW’s All Out PPV Event back in August 2019.

After the match, Moxley celebrated with his AEW World Title as Jericho made his way to the back. Moxley would then get the mic and say that he loves this s—!” Moxley would then say that it has been a long road this past year. Moxley would then say that the fans are the energy that fuels AEW. Moxley would then say that they are bringing pro wrestling back to the people. Moxley would then say that the title doesn’t belong to him, it belongs to the fans. Moxley would then say that all the fans stuck with him in the good and bad times. Moxley would then say that he doesn’t know what else to say, so he guesses it’s beer-o-clock. Moxley would then say that he is not hiding behind the title, he is gonna knock down anyone in his way, but for now, he is going to knock back some whiskey.
