Jonathan Gresham Suffers Injury At AEW Battle Of The Belts

At AEW’s Battle Of The Belts II special, Undisputed ROH World Champion “The Octopus” Jonathan Gresham defended his ROH World Title against Dalton Castle and walked out of the match still the reigning ROH World Champion. Fightful Select reports that immediately following the match the Undisputed ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham was checked out for possibly suffering a concussion during the match and it seems that the concussion occurred when he took a bump on the head/shoulder from a gut-wrench suplex. It was then determined that Gresham will not be medically cleared to compete on upcoming shows he was set to make appearances in.

PROGRESS Wrestling recently posted a video, via their Twitter account, where Gresham revealed that he will not be able to appear at PROGRESS’ Chapter 132 and Chapter 133 Events due to his injury and that he was not medically cleared, but he will definitely return to action once he is given the go signal, which will most likely be at PROGRESS’ Chapter 134 Event on Sunday, May 15th.

Jonathan Gresham is set to take on Eddie Edwards in a Non-Title Match at IMPACT Wrestling’s Rebellion PPV on Saturday, April 23rd, but it will be interesting to see if The Octopus will be cleared in time for the event with only a few more days to recover.
