Kazuchika Okada Wants To Face Top AEW Stars In Dream Matches

Top NJPW Star Kazuchika Okada recently spoke with Sports Illustrated on how he wants a match with top AEW Stars CM Punk and Bryan Danielson as they are his absolute dream match scenarios and he thinks he should face them both while they are still active competitors because if they wait too long, then the dream matches may not happen as they can retire at any moment, so it’s something to get excited about and it would be a one-and-done match type of thing.

This is what Kazuchika Okada said:

“Danielson and Punk would make for some incredible matches. A lot of those dream match scenarios are about getting excited for the possibilities, and once the match is done, it’s done. So it is important to keep that excitement and anticipation, I think. Still, if we wait too long, they’ll both retire eventually, so I want to face them both while they’re still active.”

AEW and NJPW have a working relationship, so these dream matches can absolutely happen, but the issue will be the COVID-19 safety protocols as whether AEW sends CM Punk or Bryan Danielson to Japan or top NJPW Star Kazuchika Okada travels to the United States, they will be required to quarantine for about 14 days when they first arrive in the country and before they make their way to the promotion for the match. There are also other factors that they need to consider before the match can actually happen.
