Kenny Omega Reportedly Worked Full Gear With An Injury

The main event of this past Saturday night’s Full Gear PPV Event saw Kenny Omega defend the AEW World Championship against “Hangman” Adam Page, which Hangman Page ended up winning to become the brand-new AEW World Champion. Dave Meltzer reported on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that Kenny Omega worked the main event match against Hangman Page at Full Gear with a hurt shoulder.

Meltzer also said, via Fightful Select, that Kenny Omega told him he was having trouble lifting heavy weights, but that he would still work the match even without his shoulders, if he had to.

“I don’t know if he has no strength. But he can’t lift heavy weights with them. I don’t even know if he can lift with them. The last time we were talking about it, he said he was able to lift the bar. So it’s 45 pounds… He’s told me, ‘I can work a match without my shoulders.’”
