Kenny Omega Reveals Who Inspired His Brand-New Look

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, who is also the AAA Mega Champion and the IMPACT World Champion had a new look this past Wednesday night on Dynamite when he came out for an in-ring promo segment. The AEW World Champion came out sporting a different beard than what he is accustomed to, which numerous fans thought was inspired by mid-2000s WWE COO Triple H or even Motorhead’s Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister. Another fan felt differently and said that Omega’s new look felt like it had a bit more of a Harley Race type of energy.

Omega took to his Twitter and responded to the fan by saying Triple H never even crossed his mind and seemed to confirm that Harley Race was indeed the inspiration behind his new look. Omega wrote, “Ding ding ding! Tbh, HHH never crossed my mind. Totally forgot about that phase in his career.”

Kenny Omega’s last AEW World Title defense took place on an episode of Dynamite late last month, when he successfully retained over Jungle Boy. Kenny Omega will defend his IMPACT World Title next against Sami Callihan at IMPACT Wrestling’s Slammiversary Event on Saturday, July 17th. Kenny Omega will then defend his AAA Mega Title against fellow AEW Star Andrade El Idolo at AAA’s TripleMania XXIX Event on Saturday, August 14th in Mexico City.
