It was previously reported that the company was supposed to debut a brand-new TV show, but due to the COVID pandemic and plans being pushed back a number of times, the second television show didn’t debut when it was expected to.
All Elite Wrestling President and CEO Tony Khan recently spoke to Renee Paquette on her Oral Sessions podcast, where he confirmed that a second show is definitely still in the works and then said that he is really excited about adding a third hour of television.
This is what Tony Khan said:
“I’m really excited about adding a third hour of television. That’s going to be the most important thing for us. We’ve accumulated so much talent and depth and being able to showcase all of our great wrestlers.”
Tony Khan then said that the third hour of television will not be a third hour of AEW Dynamite and it will not be on Wednesday, but it will be a third hour with WarnerMedia and a great exposure for them.
Khan also said that they have got Dark, which has been a great platform for wrestlers on YouTube and there are other streaming options and shows they can do on YouTube and other streaming platforms, so there’ll be more opportunities and real estate for their wrestlers and he definitely does not want to do three hours of Dynamite and he feels strongly about keeping their Big Four PPVs.

We may develop other shows and streaming specials and big episodes of Dynamite, but expanding our calendar in 2021.”
There is no word yet on when the second AEW show will make its debut or what its content will be, but it was reported back in January 2020 that the show could be a rebranded version of AEW Dark.
