Last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw Matt Hardy make his official AEW debut during the 6-Man Tag Team Main Event Matchup between the Inner Circle (Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz) and the Elite (“Hangman” Adam Page, Cody Rhodes and Matt Jackson), with the winners of the match gaining the entry advantage going into their upcoming Blood And Guts Match.
The 6-Man Tag Team Match saw the Inner Circle come out of the match with a huge win, which means that the advantage will be on their side going into their Blood And Guts Match. This match was originally slated to be a 5-on-4 Handicap Match as the Inner Circle beat up Nick Jackson last week and is now currently out of in-ring action indefinitely.
After last night’s main event match, Chris Jericho began gloating about their win and that the advantage will be on their side going into their Blood And Guts Match. Vanguard 1 (the drone of Matt Hardy) then flew and landed in the ring. Matt Jackson then grabbed a mic and said that Chris Jericho was wrong about how many guys The Elite have. Matt Jackson then said that he made a phone call to a friend who owed him a favor. We then get a camera view of the rafters, where we see Matt Hardy. The Inner Circle then looked on as Hardy does his “Delete” taunt and the show would come to a close.
The Blood And Guts Match will now see The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortiz) face The Elite (Cody, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson and Matt Hardy). The Blood And Guts episode of Dynamite was originally supposed to take place next week in Newark, New Jersey, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, that show has now been cancelled and a new location has not yet been officially announced, nor has a new date for the match.
Matt Hardy’s contract with the WWE expired this past March 1st. You can check out the AEW debut of Matt Hardy in the photos and the videos below:
