Memphis Wrestling Tribute Segment Took Place Before Dynamite

Prior to last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite going on the air, a segment wherein AEW paid tribute to the legends of Memphis Wrestling took place inside the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi. Those legends include The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express (Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton), “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant, Lanny Poffo, and several others.

Dave Brown, who is also a legend of Memphis Wrestling, made an appearance during last night’s episode of Dynamite and called the opening match. Dave Brown will also be calling a match for next week’s episode of AEW Dark.

It was also noted that WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler was acknowledged during the segment and since he currently works for the WWE, he obviously couldn’t be part of the tribute itself.
