MJF Also Suffers An Injury At AEW Fight For The Fallen

As previously reported, Dr. Britt Baker may have suffered a concussion at last Saturday night’s AEW Fight For The Fallen PPV Event during The Women’s Division Tag Team Match she had when she teamed up with Riho to take on the team of Bea Priestley and Shoko Nakajima.

It looks like AEW Star MJF also suffered an injury at last Saturday night’s AEW Fight For The Fallen PPV Event when he hurt his elbow during a Six-Man Tag Team Match that saw Shawn Spears, Sammy Guevara and himself defeat Darby Allin, Jimmy Havoc and “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela.

MJF was supposed to defend his Pure Prestige Title against Ricky Starks at an Inspire Pro Wrestling Event last night from the Blue Genie Art Bazaar in Austin, Texas, but due to the injury he was pulled from the event and forced to vacate the Pure Prestige Title as he is soon to become exclusive to All Elite Wrestling. You can check out Inspire Pro Wrestling’s full announcement below:

“BREAKING NEWS: AS THE ADDAGE GOES, ‘CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE.’ At approximately 4:07 this morning, INSPIRE PRO was delivered the unfortunate news that PURE PRESTIGE CHAMPION MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN sustained a severe elbow injury at last night’s FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN event. With MJF scheduled to appear at next week’s TRIPLEMANIA, the decision was made to pull him from tonight’s event to prevent any further injury. THEREFORE, MJF will NOT be defending his PURE PRESTIGE CHAMPIONSHIP tonight against RICKY STARKS. With MJF soon to become exclusive to AEW, the opportunity to reschedule the match is not possible. Therefore, MJF and INSPIRE have come to a mutual agreement to VACATE the PURE PRESTIGE TITLE.”
