NXT Wins This Week’s Ratings War Over Dynamite

Two Huge Title Matches Also Give WWE First 18-49 Demo Ratings Win.

WWE NXT scored a big victory in the Wednesday Night War over AEW Dynamite this week after gaining a virtual deadlock in ratings a week ago.

NXT rode the strength of two momentous title matches, including Rhea Ripley usurping Shayna Baszler as NXT Women’s Champion, to draw 795,000 viewers. The show that also featured a huge NXT Championship match with Adam Cole retaining against Finn Balor easily outpaced Dynamite, which had its second-lowest total of viewers for an episode with an audience of 683,000.

More importantly for WWE, NXT won the key age 18-49 audience demographic over AEW Dynamite for the first time with a 0.27 rating. Dynamite recorded a 0.25 rating in the demo, the lowest rating in the 18-49 audience group yet.

AEW finished at No. 30 in the Cable Top 150 for the prime 18-49 demo, while NXT ranked slightly ahead at No. 27. AEW ranked No. 43 in overall viewership, while NXT ranked No. 37 in viewership.
