Potential Spoiler On Future Plans For Ric Flair In AEW

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was granted his release from his WWE contract early August after he requested his release due to him contacting WWE Chairman Vince McMahon to voice his grievances and his displeasure for how his daughter, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, is being booked as of late. According to reports, it was the WWE CEO’s decision to release Ric Flair from his WWE contract, but reports were also made that it was Flair who decided to leave WWE on his own volition as he noted that the two sides didn’t have the same vision for his future.

Rumors and speculations then started arising on which wrestling promotion Flair will end up going to, with All Elite Wrestling being the top choice as that is where Andrade El Idolo, former WWE Superstar and Charlotte Flair’s fiancé, wrestles. Andrade also previously mentioned that he wanted to bring his entire family to AEW, which includes Charlotte Flair, Ric Flair and a number of ROH Stars.

Andrade El Idolo was supposed to face PAC at last Sunday night’s All Out, but flight issues prevented the match from taking place. A backstage segment took place at All Out, where Andrade noted he was at the PPV and is ready to compete against PAC, then he questioned Chavo Guerrero regarding PAC’s flight issues as it was hinted that Chavo may have been the person behind PAC’s flight being canceled, which seemed to cause a little bit of tension between Andrade and Chavo Guerrero. During the recent Rampage tapings, Andrade attacked Chavo Guerrero, which was teased at All Out from their backstage segment.

There have been rumors that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will be heading to AEW soon and that he will be replacing Chavo Guerrero as Andrade El Idolo’s manager. Dave Meltzer mentioned on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while nothing has been confirmed yet the word going around is that Ric Flair is surely headed to AEW once he is legally able to. Ric Flair was at All Out this past Sunday night as he was there to visit AEW President Tony Khan and to hang out with a number of wrestlers on the roster.

Last July 21st, Chavo Guerrero made his AEW debut as the executive consultant of Andrade El Idolo. He was brought in to replace Vickie Guerrero because several people felt that Vickie isn’t a good fit in the role with Andrade. When Chavo was brought in, it was not known that Ric Flair will be leaving the WWE, but now it looks like Flair will be paired with his future son-in-law, Andrade when he makes his AEW debut.
