Reason Why Rey Fenix Was Not At This Week’s Dynamite/Rampage

This past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite, which also featured the tapings of tonight’s episode of Rampage, did not see an appearance from one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions Rey Fenix and it was mentioned during the broadcast that it was storyline injury-related, however Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program indicated that the real reason for Rey Fenix’s absence was due to “difficulties in traveling” to Duluth, Georgia for the show.

Tonight’s episode of Rampage was supposed to feature a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Matchup between Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) with the AEW World Tag Team Titles hanging in the balance, but that was changed to Penta El Zero Miedo and PAC vs. FTR in a Non-Title Match. Rey Fenix is still believed to be participating in this Saturday’s Triplemania Regia in Monterrey, Mexico where the Lucha Brothers will challenge FTR for the AAA Tag Team Titles.
