All Elite Wrestling Star and Jericho Appreciation Society member “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara, who is recognized as one of the four pillars in the promotion and who is a former 3-time AEW TNT Champion after defeating Miro on the September 29th, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite, WWE Superstar “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes in a Ladder Match on the January 26, 2022 Beach Break AEW Dynamite episode and Scorpio Sky at AEW’s Battle Of The Belts II, has been getting a lot of attention as of late following his comments on Twitter and his vlog, saying he could follow in the footsteps of Cody and that things are coming to an end.
Guevara said on his vlog that he has been getting a crazy amount of hate from the AEW fans as of late and he doesn’t understand what he did to receive such a reaction from the fans, but he can see people want him to go away, so maybe that is what he should do for fans to appreciate him just like WWE Star Cody Rhodes, who was hated by the fans in AEW but loved by the fans in WWE.
This is what Sammy Guevara said:
“I also got pretty frustrated because I try to do and make a moment every time I’m out there, but somewhere along the way I just got this crazy amount of hate.” “I don’t understand really what I did, but I see it. People want to see me go away, people say they’re tired of me, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So, while I’m in this negative mindset I think, ‘Maybe I should go away. Maybe this is it for me. I had a nice ride and maybe I need to go away to get y’all to appreciate me,’ because that’s what you guys do. That’s what y’all did to Cody. When he was in AEW, y’all hated him, and then he went to WWE and you guys love him now.
Sammy Guevara is set to face Eddie Kingston in a one-on-one match on this Friday’s Grand Slam episode of AEW Rampage.
