Several People In WWE Believe MJF Has Re-Signed With AEW

For a number of months, current AEW World Champion and ROH World Tag Team Champion MJF has brought up his contract situation with the company in his storylines since his AEW contract will expire in early 2024. MJF has even been saying that he could jump-ship to WWE depending on which promotion offers him a bigger amount of money, but as of late, MJF has not brought up any contract talks, especially after he turned babyface.

According to Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling, several WWE sources believe MJF has quietly re-signed with AEW, with one higher-up even stating that there have been zero talks between the two sides. This same source also stated that the idea of MJF becoming a free agent is a false narrative and that they believe he has re-signed with AEW until 2027. Another source said it was all in MJF’s head storyline-wise and they were told MJF has re-signed a long-term deal with AEW 1000%, which is why the promotion has stopped pushing the 2024 stuff.
