Ticket Sales For AEW’s Full Gear PPV Off To A Hot Start

AEW’s Full Gear Event was originally set to take place on Saturday, November 6 from Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, but Dave Meltzer noted on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the promotion’s Full Gear PPV Event is now set to take place on Saturday, November 13 as the company would have faced strong competition from the UFC’s 268 Event, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 6 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman will be going up against Colby Covington in a rematch.

AEW recently announced that their 2021 Full Gear PPV will be taking place inside the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pre-sale tickets for the 2021 Full Gear PPV went on sale last Thursday, where around 5,000 tickets were sold, while tickets for the general public went on sale on Friday.

The official Twitter account of WrestleTix revealed that about 8,586 total tickets have been sold for AEW’s Full Gear PPV Event so far, which has a capacity of about 10,226 and that there are about 1,640 seats remaining. It was also revealed that if AEW decides to open up the upper deck then the capacity would be about 13,407 fans in attendance.

It is interesting to note that Minneapolis is not considered a strong market for All Elite Wrestling, which means that the ticket sales are impressive and it looks like the promotion is on their way to a sell out.
