Tony Khan Announces When AEW Returns To Jacksonville

Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic started and affected all live sports events including pro wrestling, AEW has been running their shows from inside their home base, Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The venue has provided AEW a safe space to run their live events, previously without a live audience, then gradually shifting to running shows at a limited capacity and eventually being able to run shows at a full capacity.

This past Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite marked the last show the company will be running from Daily’s Place for a couple of months as AEW is set to make their return to live touring by next week. AEW President and CEO Tony Khan was in an off-air segment with The Acclaim this past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite and announced to the live crowd in attendance that the promotion will return to Jacksonville on Wednesday, August 4th.

This is what Tony Khan said:

“We’re glad you’re all here because tonight is a very special night for us.” “We’ve been here over 60 weeks. A lot of you have been here for a big part of it. … We are coming back here August 4th.”
