Tony Khan Not Looking To Move AEW To FOX, No Mass Releases, More

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently took part in a media call to promote and to hype this coming Sunday’s 2023 WrestleDream PPV Event and during the call, Khan discussed a number of topics including the possibility of AEW programming moving to the FOX Network now that the WWE is returning to the USA Network for SmackDown after the show had been airing on FOX since 2019.

Khan said even though AEW’s television deal with Warner Bros. Discovery is up next year and they have not announced a new deal yet, he would love for the company to stay at Warner Bros. Discovery forever out of respect as he loves being partners with the network and he would take a penny or two less than anyone else in favor of staying with WBD.

Other topics brought up during the call include Jade Cargill joining WWE, the company expanding to 12 PPV Events next year, putting AEW events on a streaming service, Wardlow’s hiatus, Adam Cole’s injury and the WWE’s recent staff layoffs and talent cuts, which is something he will never do.
