Tony Khan Reveals Penelope Ford Is Out Due To An Injury

All Elite Wrestling has been having their top stars suffering an injury and being placed on the shelf for the past several months and that includes AEW World Champion CM Punk and Bryan Danielson. Santana is the another AEW Star to suffer an injury and be put on the sidelines as well as Jungle Boy. Omega, on the other hand, has been on the shelf since last November due to a number of nagging injuries.

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently took to his Twitter and revealed that another AEW Star, this time one of the promotion’s first-ever signees in the women’s division Penelope Ford is out of action due to an undisclosed injury. This comes after a fan taking to Twitter and calling AEW President Tony Khan out for giving up on Penelope Ford, but that is not the case as Tony Khan shot down those rumors and revealed that Ford is actually not medically cleared to compete, though Khan did not disclose the nature as well as the severity of Penelope Ford’s injury. Khan also revealed that he hopes Ford comes back soon as he can’t wait for her to be a part of the classic matches that have taken place in AEW.

Penelope Ford made her professional wrestling debut in December 2014 for Combat Zone Wrestling before signing with All Elite Wrestling in January 2019. Penelope Ford last competed for All Elite Wrestling on the January 15th episode of Dark, when she beat Angelica Risk in Women’s Division Singles action.
