Tony Khan Says He Didn’t Want To Do The Stone Cold Stunner

As previously reported, there was a dark segment following the tapings of this past week’s episode of AEW Dark that saw Shawn Spears receive several Stone Cold Stunners from several people including AEW President and CEO Tony Khan.

Tony Khan recently took to Twitter and responded to a fan by saying that he had no idea he was delivering a Stone Cold Stunner to Shawn Spears. Tony Khan also said that Nick Jackson asked him if he wanted to do a Stone Cold Stunner, and he said no, but Shawn Spears called out his name, screamed at him and insisted that he do a Stone Cold Stunner.

Dude, I had no idea that was happening. Cody called me out, I went to thank the crowd, Nick asked me if I wanted to do a stunner, I said no, then Spears was screaming my name and calling for it, then I heard people in the crowd calling for it, and at that point, I had no choice.
