It was expected that former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt will be heading to AEW and making his debut with the promotion on the September 29 episode of AEW Dynamite in Rochester, New York, the hometown of the late Brodie Lee, who was close personal friends with Bray Wyatt, but that obviously didn’t happen. It was then reported that if Bray Wyatt does end up in AEW, then his debut will be taking place at their Full Gear PPV on Saturday, November 6th as his 90-day non-compete clause with WWE is set to expire on Friday, October 29th, a few days prior to Full Gear.
AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently appeared on WFAN’s Moose And Maggie show and was asked about the possibility of Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) ending up in AEW down the line. According to Khan, he hasn’t talked to Bray Wyatt, but he has known Wyatt personally and Wyatt is a great wrestler that the AEW President would love to have in AEW, so you never know.
This is what Tony Khan said:
“He’s a great wrestler, and I got to be honest, we haven’t really talked at all. I’ve known him in personal life and I’ve gotten to spend a little bit of time with him…but as far as that, we haven’t talked. I saw a bunch of rumors, but that’s not something anybody’s really talked about. I think…you never know.”
There were also reports saying that if Wyatt does not end up in AEW, then he may sign with IMPACT and make his debut at their Bound For Glory Event as IMPACT Wrestling has shown a lot of interest in Bray Wyatt and there is a possibility that he may end up in IMPACT with fellow former WWE Star and partner Braun Strowman, but those close to Bray Wyatt are saying that there are no plans for him to sign with IMPACT Wrestling.
