All Elite Wrestling has proven to the entire professional wrestling world since they were established back in 2019 that they are a viable competition to the WWE, but that does not mean there would not be any kind of issues. Former AEW talents such as Joey Janela and Alan Angels have revealed that lack of TV time or communication is the reason why they decided not to re-sign with the promotion after their contracts have expired. There are also current AEW Stars who hinted they are frustrated with how they are being booked in the promotion and there are experiencing lack of TV time, which is why there have been speculation that a number of AEW Stars may leave the company and sign with WWE now that Triple H is in charge of creative.
AEW President and CEO Tony Khan recently appeared on Superstar Crossover with Josh Martinez, where he discussed the rumors of unhappiness in the AEW locker room as well as how he feels that communication is only going to get better and he thinks they have a really great environment and backstage vibe.
This is what Tony Khan said:
“With a new group, hopefully, the communication is only going to get better because I can only be in so many places at one time and talk to so many people with such a big team. I think that’ll help. In general, I think we have a really great environment and a great backstage.”
Tony Khan also talked about how he can’t get everyone on the shows, but there is a lot of really good camaraderie and momentum backstage and how it is challenging when you have three hours of television, though he thinks it is very competitive.
This is what Tony Khan said:
“There is a lot of really good camaraderie and momentum. I can’t get everybody on the show. It is challenging in some ways when you have three hours of television. I get that if you’re looking at a competitor that has seven hours of television, the people in that company are twice as likely to be on TV if you look at it that way. So I think it’s very competitive for spots, but it also means people have to do the most to maximize the time they do get. Wherever it is. Whether it’s on TV or streaming, I do think our TV shows and the participation we’ve had from fans and why we all feel so good this year is.”
