AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker, who is recognized as not only one of the biggest Stars in All Elite Wrestling, but also one of the biggest Stars in the pro wrestling industry, recently spoke with Inside The Ropes and revealed that WWE has definitely shown interest in brining her into the company, but unfortunately she feels the WWE and anything they say can’t be trusted, unlike in AEW, where they have always followed through with anything she has been promised.
Britt Baker also said she understands that pro wrestling is a business and a company like the WWE has to make business decisions, but as a wrestler, she has to make business decisions as well.
This is what Britt Baker said:
“I mean, exactly, I can’t disagree with you. They definitely expressed interest—unfortunately, I’ve got to pick and choose how I say this—but I just feel like you can’t trust anything with that company, whereas at AEW, I’ve never been promised anything that didn’t follow through. So it’s something that, unfortunately, it’s sad that it comes down to that, that it makes a company not really desirable because you can’t trust anything they say. And I know business is business, and I understand totally that’s what it is, but as a wrestler, business is business as well.”
Dr. Britt Baker recently defended her AEW Women’s World Title against Riho at the Battle Of The Belts special and came out of the match still the AEW Women’s World Champion. Britt Baker has been put in a storyline with her real-life boyfriend and fellow AEW Star Adam Cole and they will be teaming up in a Mixed Tag Team Match against Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander on this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
