It was previously reported that former WWE Star Andrade El Idolo seems to be unhappy with his current position and booking in All Elite Wrestling to the point that Idolo even liked a tweet from a fan who said that he is being used much worst in AEW than he was in WWE. Andrade El Idolo would even get into a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara, possibly as a way to have AEW CEO Tony Khan fire him from the company.
Andrade seems to be very keen in leaving AEW or it just comes across that way as he took to Instagram and posted a photo of himself with his mask in his hand and a caption that reads, “I just want to say thank you!!! Bye Solo quiero darles las gracias!! Bye #howyouknow” WWE Star Zelina Vega, who was in a duo with Andrade, commented on the AEW Star’s post with heart emojis.
There has been a lot of speculation on the future of Andrade with AEW as he hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since he and Sammy Guevara had a backstage altercation and he has not been involved in any storylines as well. Andrade El Idolo wasn’t booked at this past Saturday’s AEW Full Gear PPV Event either, which is one of the company’s biggest PPV Events of the year.
AEW President and CEO Tony Khan addressed Andrade’s future with the company during the post-Full Gear media scrum, where he said people have take some sabbaticals and breaks from AEW for numerous reasons and come back and get very involved with the storylines, so this is something the fans could see with Andrade. Khan also said he hopes to get Andrade involved on AEW TV soon.
After being released from the WWE, Andrade signed with AEW in 2021 and made his debut for the company on the June 4, 2021 AEW Dynamite. Since then, Andrade has only wrestled in a number of matches and he has also appeared in other promotions, including AAA. Andrade also competed at Ric Flair’s Last Match Event, teaming with his father-in-law WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair to defeat AEW Star Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.
