Top AEW Star Matt Jackson Tests Positive For COVID-19

The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) are two of pro wrestling’s top stars not only in AEW, but also in the entire pro wrestling industry. They have been a champion in every promotion they have competed in and they are even recognized as one of, if not the greatest tag team in wrestling today.

Despite how great a tag team is and despite the safety precautions they are taking, they can still be hit with COVID-19, which is the case with The Young Bucks as in September 2020, Nick Jackson would be battling the virus as he tested positive for COVID-19. He has since recovered from the virus, but the other half of The Young Bucks in Matt Jackson has tested positive for COVID-19.

The shocking news was revealed on The Young Bucks’ latest Twitter bio update, which says, “Loyal to a fault, but sometimes have to make executive decisions. Always book ourselves strong. Our future grandkids are set for life. Matt has covid.”

The Young Bucks have currently been placed in a storyline where a split with the Super Elite has been teased, but as of this writing, they have not been advertised for any matches or appearances down the line. Matt Jackson last competed for AEW on the December 17 episode of Dynamite, when Adam Cole, Nick Jackson, Bobby Fish and himself faced Orange Cassidy, Rocky Romero and Best Friends in 8-Man Tag Team action, but came out on the losing end.
