Top AEW Star Teases Jumping Ship To The WWE

Top All Elite Wrestling Stars FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood), who wrestling fans around the world believe to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest tag team in all of pro wrestling today, became former two-time NXT Tag Team Champions, former two-time RAW Tag Team Champions as well as former one-time SmackDown Tag Team Champions when they were under contract to WWE. FTR then left the WWE as soon as their contracts with them expired in June 2020.

On the May 27, 2020 episode of AEW Dynamite, FTR made their All Elite Wrestling debut and since then, they have captured tag team gold in AEW, NJPW, ROH and AAA. Dax Harwood noted in a previous interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp that they are under the impression their contract with AEW will expire sometime by the end of April 2023, but they initially thought their contract with All Elite Wrestling would expire sometime last year.

Dax Harwood also said he and Cash Wheeler are going to evaluate their options after their current AEW deals are up and that they have had a lot of conversations in regards to their future in the business and one particular idea they have discussed is that they will take a year off from competing in major companies and just do things that are fun to them like work more Indie shows and compete in other pro wrestling promotions that have led them to discover their love for pro wrestling. Harwood also stated that they could stay with AEW or sign with another major pro wrestling promotion.

Harwood recently took to his Instagram and posted a photo of a piece of paper that looked like it had the WWE logo on it, indicating that FTR might be considering signing with the WWE in the near future. Dax Harwood then posted the same photo on Twitter, but this time the WWE logo was not shown. There is no word yet on if FTR is really considering signing with the WWE or Dax may just be trolling the fans or perhaps it could be their way to see if they can start a bidding war between AEW and WWE, but they surely got the fans talking and reacting in a big way.
