As previously reported, DDT Pro Wrestling, a promotion based in Japan, had their 25th Anniversary PPV about a month from Tokyo, Japan and during the show, Christopher Daniels, All Elite Wrestling’s VP of Talent Relations, made a major announcement that AEW has formed a brand-new working relationship with DDT Pro Wrestling, in which top stars from DDT Pro Wrestling is set to travel to the United States to wrestle for AEW and be familiarized with the American wrestling fanbase in All Elite Wrestling.
Top DDT Pro Wrestling Star Konosuke Takeshita then made a huge announcement during DDT’s recent event that he will be returning to the United States sometime this month and compete in All Elite Wrestling and that this will be a big challenge for him as well as he will be making a dream come true. Top DDT Pro Wrestling Star Konosuke Takeshita will be the first-ever talent from DDT who will be traveling to the United States to wrestle for AEW as part of their brand-new working relationship.
Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that DDT Pro Wrestling Star Konosuke Takeshita is set to be a full-time regular talent in All Elite Wrestling and despite it being unclear when exactly he will be making his debut for AEW, he is set to be around for months and months, most probably even close to a year. It was also mentioned that unlike other NJPW talents that AEW brings in such as Minoru Suzuki, where there only stay for a short period of time, DDT’s Konosuke Takeshita will remain in the United States on a regular basis.
Konosuke Takeshita has competed in AEW in the past, when he appeared on Dark: Elevation last April as well as a match teaming with Kenny Omega, Michael Nakazawa and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) in a losing effort against PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix of Death Triangle and Matt Sydal and Mike Sydal of The Sydal Brothers.
