Two AEW Stars Frustrated After Squash Match On AEW Dynamite

Last Wednesday night’s House Of The Dragon edition of AEW Dynamite saw The Gunn Club (Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn) face The Varsity Blonds (Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison) in Tag Team action and in just seconds, the match ended with The Gunn Club getting a dominating victory over The Varsity Blonds and Brian Pillman Jr. didn’t even get a chance to compete in the match. Shortly following the show, a number of tweets were sent out by Pillman Jr. and Garrison, which clearly shows they are frustrated.

Several fans on Twitter noted that The Varsity Blonds deserve much better than how they were treated, with a couple of them even mentioning that Pillman Jr. didn’t have a chance to get into the match and Chris Jericho should take Pillman Jr. under his wing, so he can turn Brian into a star. The fans then shared a similar sentiment, with a few of them even suggesting that they should just turn heel. Griff Garrison simply responded with, “Frustrated.”

There is no word yet on if AEW will split up the team or turn them heel, but there was a spot several months ago that suggested a possible split between Pillman and Garrison and one of them turning heel. It has been suggested as well that if All Elite Wrestling were to push them, then they should soon be repackaged because they have really lost a lot of momentum since Julia Hart left the Blonds and moved to the House of Black stable.
