This past Saturday night’s AEW Full Gear PPV Event saw Malakai Black team up with Andrade El Idolo to face Cody Rhodes and PAC in Tag Team action. Both teams didn’t co-exist as smoothly as the fans would have hoped for, but it was one of the most highly-anticipated and physical matches of the evening and it ended with Cody Rhodes and PAC getting the win over Malakai Black and Andrade El Idolo.
Full Gear this past Saturday also saw Eddie Kingston take on CM Punk in Singles action. This was more than a match as AEW Announcer Jim Ross said it was more like a “fistfight” or a brawl. The match took a toll on both Eddie Kingston and CM Punk and despite coming out of the match with a hard-fought win, Punk ended up having a crimson red mask.
PWInsider.com reports that Eddie Kingston and Malakai Black didn’t appear at the company’s recent Big Event Convention in New York City as fans were informed that these talents suffered an injury at this past Saturday night’s Full Gear PPV Event.
Immediately following Full Gear, several AEW Stars took part in a media scrum, where it was mentioned by Bryan Danielson that Eddie Kingston’s shoulder was “really banged up.” Kingston himself also spoke with Northeast Wrestling and told them that he couldn’t appear at their show because he is having his shoulder checked out and he is having a series of medical tests.
