Update On AEW Star Angelico’s Health And Absence On AEW TV

AEW Star Angelico, who signed with the promotion on May 8, 2019, recently took to his Twitter account and revealed the bad news that he suffered a torn ACL and meniscus towards the end of 2021, but there is also a good news that his recovery is coming along well and that he is ahead of schedule, with his in-ring return set to happen soon. Prior to this, Angelico revealed on Twitter that he will be making an announcement in regards to the rumors surrounding his pro wrestling career.

Angelico, who made his AEW debut with Jack Evans as The Hybrid2 at the company’s first-ever PPV Event known as Double or Nothing on May 25, 2019, losing to Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor of Best Friends, last competed for the promotion on the December 14 episode of AEW Dark, when he wrestled and defeated Invictus Khash in Singles action. Angelico seemed to have suffered a leg injury during his match with Invictus Khash, but that was never confirmed until his recent tweet. Angelico was even set to compete against Eddie Kingston during that week’s round of television tapings, but the match was canceled due to the injury.

Angelico was last seen at the company’s Dark tapings in January and February, when he accompanied TH2 partner Jack Evans for his matches against Wheeler Yuta and Dante Martin, but neither match has aired yet as of this writing.
